She was attentive to many guests particular requests and ensuring refills even when near closing time. The breakfast area was the same in that it was clean and stocked. The coffee was always well stocked and clean. Dulce was hustling and bustling in the dining area. Our honorable mentions are Kareny and Dulce. Go next door to Aspen Creek for a nice steak and get your 10% off hotel discount. The gym is nothing super special but it is clean and well cared for. We would just ensure that there wasn't any construction being done at the time, of course. But this hotel is overall great! The location is awesome, the hotel is in great shape, the breakfast is nice, the staff (besides the 2 at our first impression) is incredible, and we would visit again. We aren't sure which did it but for our last 2 days, there wasn't any construction. It turns out that there were many complaints and a storm came into the area. He said that construction was disclosed on their website and that we were supposed to be reminded upon check in. I called the front desk and the young man said that best they could do was not charge us a late check out fee or cancellation fee to go to another hotel. Our kids could not hear their TV even with the volume turned all the way up and I could not sleep. I wasn't feeling well and we tried to rest. We were hoping that it was just a 1 day thing but shortly after 0730, it began again. We were in and out of our rooms that day. It sounded like jackhammering above our heads. The next day, the hammering began and it did not stop. The other gentleman behind the counter left assisting another customer that had walked in and the told the younger employee to find me a room and just put me in 1. Again I explained that I had already paid it through Costco. He then told me that I had to pay my full balance. I tried to explain that name he said was not my name but again he gestured with his hand for me to stop and kept ignoring the ID card that I was presenting. He proceeded to say my first name with an incorrect last name and say that I had not paid. I clarified that I had paid my balance through Costco and I would only put my card on file for incidentals. Finally he instructed me to swipe my credit card for my balance. I was attempting to hand him my ID card but he would only put his hand up as to gesture me to stop. He asked me for my name but would not look up from his screen. The younger gentleman proceeded to check me in. Both sounded to have African accents, 1 tall/young, 1 stout/middle aged. I'd say it took about 10 minutes before 2 gentlemen let me in. I even found a gentleman outside that looked to be a shuttle driver and he banged on the glass windows as well. I knocked and rang the bell over and over. I made the reservation so I went to the lobby door and could not get in as I did not have a room key. Our flight arrived a little late and by the time we got our rental car and a late Whataburger, we were not to the hotel until around 1 AM. We booked months in advanced and when we looked at the website, we did not see any disclaimer regarding construction at the time of our travel. The online reviews were great and the location was fantastic for what we needed on this trip. We booked and paid through Costco travel.
